Who is behind Animus

Hey, I'm Wichard, the founder of Animus Medicus.

I'm a recent medical graduate and I love anatomy!

For ages, I've been searching for anatomy posters that actually look great and reflect my passion for medicine.
That's how Animus Medicus came about, because I simply couldn't find what I was looking for and the standard posters weren't good enough.
Together with our community on Instagram we design new anatomy images together every few weeks and it's a lot of fun!

Anatomy can be intimidating. As a medical student, I often found it dry and overwhelming. But over time, I learned to appreciate its beauty and importance.

Even as a child, I was often at the doctor's office or in physiotherapy, where they tried to explain how the human body works using standard anatomical images.

But the spark didn't ignite: I could see and understand the images, but they were simply ugly. With this basic idea in mind, I founded Animus Medicus and have been delighted every day since then to see how many people are also enthusiastic about anatomy.

Since when has Animus been around?

Animus Medicus was founded in 2019 and is a German startup.
In February 2019, the first poster was ordered.
It was the overview of the teeth. Back then, we started with 5 motifs, now there are over 200.
